# Kernel API

## Overview

The Kernel API allows you to automate repeated tasks programmatically.

To get started, have your Organization Owner generate an API key on the Organization Settings page.

Subscription Plan RequirementsAccess to this API requires a subscription plan that includes Kernel Cloud API Access. If your organization is not on such a plan, API requests will be rejected. Contact Kernel to upgrade your plan.
