Installing the Acquisition Driver

  • PDF

Article summary

To operate your Kernel system, you will use a user interface accessed from the Kernel Cloud Portal (see Portal Flow UI Overview). However, not just any computer can be used, as the computer must have a specific Kernel Flow acquisition driver installed.

NOTE:
Existing customers may already have a computer with the acquisition driver installed. To check, open a terminal on your data collection computer and type kortex --version. If a version number is returned, then the acquisition driver has been installed.

Installing the Acquisition Driver

Before you can record data with a Flow system, you will have to install the Flow acquisition driver on the data acquisition computer. This should be completed after creating an organization and registering the Flow device to that Organization (see Configuring Kernel Cloud).

  3. Follow the instructions located on that tab, which will involve opening a terminal and copying commands.
  4. You are now ready to operate the Flow device using the Kernel Cloud Portal.
